September Minis | Family
I look forward to Fall every year, and not just for the commonly celebrated reasons like Pumpkin Spice everything and mosquitos FINALLY going away. I look forward to Fall because it kicks off the holiday season and brings with it feelings of nostalgia. I’m flooded with memories of jumping in leaves as a child with our black lab, Lucy. Memories of carving pumpkins on the very ground that would eventually be covered my parent’s fabulous Cracker Barrel-esque porch, where even more memories have been made watching the leaves turn and fall. There is something indescribable about snuggling up with the ones you love most and watch the world shed it’s foliage and prepare for Winter.
This year I had to opt out of photography sessions in the month of October. This wasn’t just for my wedding, it was for my mental health. This year has been busy in the most blessed way possible. Our giant family is welcoming two babies and hosting two weddings while preparing for another one in early 2019! This October is a chance for me to breath. As a maker, occasionally you need to give your body a break in order for your creative juices to refuel. That being said, this September flew by and fueled my fire for family. All of my photo sessions pulled at my heartstrings and filled my world with a little more sunshine.
THE MCKINAS
THE BLAIRS AND MARTINS
BERKLEY + JUPITER
Sweet little Berkley even talked my beloved Bryan into several piggyback rides. Take it from me, it wasn’t hard to do. He’s a sucker for the puppy dog eyes.
THE BODNARS
THE BROWNS
THE JACKSONS
Special thanks to Mink and Walter’s Pumpkin Patch for being so cool about photographers coming out to your farm!
